Topic: Degenerative Disc Disease and Its’ Impact under the LHWCA:  Legal and Medical Strategies for Reducing Risk of Liability
Overview: This combined legal and medical presentation discusses degenerative disc disease—a common workplace injury among longshoremen, harbor workers and marine employees.  The presentation will address strategies for marine employers and insurance professionals to reduce the risk of liability for Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act (LHWCA) claims for degenerative disc disease through prevention, treatment, and other legal defenses.
