Overview: A substantial part of the protection and indemnity insurance carried by commercial fishing vessels is to handle personal injury claims that crewmembers sustain while in the service of the vessel. An essential part of the process is to get the injured crewmember to medical care as soon as possible. In some cases, it is a matter of life or death.
Dr. James Lord's medical team works closely with the vessel owners, U.S. Coast Guard and various other entities in order to ensure the best possible outcome to the injured crewmembers.
