Overview: This presentation will discuss the various insurance coverages implicated in the U.S. vessel build and rebuild with respect to coastwise trade laws, including builder’s risk, hull and machinery, ship repairer’s legal liability, marine general liability, excess and bumbershoot, and professional liability, and discuss those coverages relative to new vessel construction and vessel repairs and repair duties.
