Scholarships & Charitable Donations

It is that time of year again where we are searching for deserving individuals to be the recipients of the Annual Marine Insurance Association of Seattle Scholarships. The Scholarship Committee of MIAS is now accepting applications. Up to Three $3,000 scholarships will be awarded on Thursday, January 28, 2027, at the MIAS Annual Banquet.

Requirements in Order to Qualify:

  • Applicant is a student who is a child, stepchild, adopted child, niece, nephew, grandchild, or sibling of a person employed by a MIAS Member company at the time of the application

  • Applicant must have a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or higher

  • Applicant must be a full-time student

  • Applicant must not be a previous recipient of a MIAS scholarship.

Submission Process:

  • Completed application

  • Two (2) letters of recommendation (one personal and one professional)

  • Copy of last grade transcript or G.E.D. certificate
